Brew Crew - Macaloney's Caledonian Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery

Brewing craft beer occupies a special place in our hearts. We love the science, art, and passion that goes into every batch of beer our brewers create.  Brewing allows us to take our passion for great beers to new heights and create something that brings joy into people’s lives. Plus, it beats sitting in an office all day!

Twa Dogs Beers combine the rich, sessionable brews of Scotland with the unrivaled quality and character of West Coast craft beer. By choosing not to filter our beers, you may find some haziness or sediment, but we ensure that every last drop of flavour is carried through to your pint glass.

Our Brew-Crew consists of a rambunctious trio that share a deep passion for quality beers. When they’re not hard at work brewing or distilling you can be sure to find them poking fun at each other over an after-work pint at the bar.

Dave Holowaty, our Master-Brewer,  has nearly 10 years of technical brewing experience. Dave has both the experience and the drive to take Twa Dogs to new heights. He’s a constant source of innovation and has brewed everything from a Lentil beers to barleywines. He’s also a blast to be around!

Danny, our Québécois Boiler Engineer, provides the critical heat needed for brewing and distilling while also being an invaluable source of practical, hands-on know-how!

Paul van der Ham has an engineering background, however, his passion for quality craft beer has led him to become an Assistant Brewer at Twa Dogs. He’s an exceptionally quick learner and as a Dutchman he’s our expert on continental European beer.
